To get the most out of Spaceduck, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the following key elements.
Items
Anything you capture through the mobile app or browser extension, or create or upload into Spaceduck, is called an item. Items can include notes, images, videos, PDFs, documents, boards, and more.
Document
Documents are versatile, customizable notes designed for taking notes, conducting research, writing, and more.
Board
Boards are perfect for organizing chaos, a powerful tool to bring together scattered ideas, make sense of them, and engage in visual note-taking, brainstorming, and more.
Repository
Everything you capture is saved to your repository, where it is automatically tagged, titled, connected to similar items, and organized. Your repository functions like your brain, linking and organizing related information effortlessly.
Search
You can search using natural, semantic language or apply filters like text OCR to find text within images, documents, or PDFs. You can also search by tags, titles, upload dates, item types, and more. Designed to work like your brain, the search feature makes it easy to locate anything you need, whenever you need it.
Tags
Tags help organize your items. When you upload something, it's automatically tagged, but you can also add your own custom tags for more personalized organization. All tags are searchable.
Spaces
Spaces are designed for grouping items, managing projects, or conducting research. They organize Threads and files by topic, streamlining collaboration and research. Whether for personal projects or teamwork, Spaces create a tailored knowledge hub with integrated web and file searches.
Research assistant AI
Everything in a Space is RAG-enabled and interactive. Use the Research Assistant AI to chat with your content, whether within a Space or a specific file. Ask questions, brainstorm ideas, and more.
Categories
Categories let you add custom properties to individual items within a Space. They define an item's purpose and provide a quick overview with key details.
Workflows
Workflows are a mini Kanban-style project management tool within Spaces, allowing you to move items between different statuses. You can customize workflows to fit your specific needs.
